Farizon SuperVAN Conversions: Ambulances, Campers and Specialty Vehicles

From ambulances to electric campers: the Carryboy x Farizon at the Bangkok Motor Show 2026, and why the SuperVAN is ideal for conversions

Farizon SuperVAN Conversions: Ambulances, Campers and Specialty Vehicles

An often-overlooked strength of electric vans is that they are a blank "canvas" for conversions. With the battery placed beneath the floor and no engine or driveshaft taking up space, the interior is flat and fully usable. Farizon SuperVAN is one of the models attracting interest from coachbuilders and converters, for applications ranging from ambulances and wheelchair-accessible vehicles to refrigerated vans and electric motorhomes for travel.

Carryboy x Farizon Electric Camper at the Bangkok Motor Show 2026

The clearest example in Thailand is Carryboy x Farizon Campervan unveiled at the Bangkok International Motor Show 2026 in late March. Built on a high-roof SuperVAN body around 6 meters long, it takes advantage of the B-pillarless sliding side door for a wide, open entrance.

Inside are a wet bathroom with a shower and cassette toilet; a kitchen with a 68-liter fridge and an induction hob on a sliding drawer; a U-shaped rear sofa that converts into a bed; and an electrically raised upper bed that lifts flush to the ceiling, sleeping 4–5 people. The power system uses a drive battery of around 82 kWh LFP, separate from the battery for camping equipment, plus a 650-watt rooftop solar panel. According to Carryboy, the starting price will be under 2.8 million baht.

Ambulances and medical transport vehicles

At the Bangkok Motor Show 2025, the Farizon SuperVAN was displayed as a passenger van, a cargo van and an ambulance, and it suits the needs of hospitals and rescue units for several reasons:

  • A low, flat floor makes it easy to move stretchers and medical equipment
  • A quiet cabin with minimal vibration, which matters for both patients and medical staff
  • A large onboard power source supports medical equipment better than relying on an idling engine
  • No exhaust emissions while waiting in front of buildings

Overseas, Farizon also partners with healthcare organizations such as Pok Oi Hospital in Hong Kong, and in Europe it has announced the development of minibus, refrigerated and wheelchair-accessible bodies with local coachbuilders.

What to plan before ordering a conversion

A good conversion starts with clearly defining weight and power consumption from the outset, as every piece of added equipment reduces the remaining payload and may affect driving range. Choose a body length and roof height that match the job, check registration requirements with the Department of Land Transport, and choose a converter who understands EV high-voltage systems specifically.
