Geely Auto September 2026 Sales Hit 292,168 Units as New Energy Vehicles Set a Record

Geely Automobile Holdings reported its September 2026 sales, reflecting strong momentum heading into the final quarter of the year, with total sales of 292,168 units up around 7% year on year and 8% from August, making it the highest monthly sales of 2026.

New energy vehicles set a monthly record

The key highlight was new energy vehicle (NEV) sales of 190,868 units a company record, accounting for around 65% of total sales. Of these, 125,254 were fully electric, up more than 25%, while plug-in hybrids remained flat. This confirms that fully electric models such as the EX family, including the EX5 and EX2, are becoming the brand's main driving force.

Overseas markets still growing strongly

• September exports of 106,685 units, up more than 160% year on year
• Cumulative exports for the first nine months reached 797,670 units, around 87% of the full-year target of 920,000 units, which the company raised from 640,000 units in August
• Sales in China in September were 185,483 units, down year on year but the highest level since January

This reflects Geely's rebalancing toward global markets, including Thailand, which continues to receive new model launches

Overview by brand

The Geely brand (including Galaxy) sold 236,459 units, with Galaxy posting its best result of the year at 130,479 units. Zeekr more than doubled to 37,216 units, while Proton in Malaysia, in which Geely holds a stake, sold 20,569 units. Cumulative sales for the first nine months reached 2,235,481 units, the highest for the period in the company's history and around 65% of the full-year target of 3.45 million units.

Carrying the momentum into Motor Expo 2026

In Thailand, year-end is a key season for the car market, with the Thailand International Motor Expo 2026 scheduled for 2–13 December 2026 at IMPACT Challenger 1–3, Muang Thong Thani. Following Geely's 4,831 bookings at last year's show and 7,811 at the Motor Show in early 2026, it will be interesting to see what new models or campaigns the brand brings this year.
