Guide to Charging Your Riddara Electric Pickup at Home and on the Road
All about charging the RD6 and ECON, from AC at home to DC at public stations: how long it takes, how to install and the partner networks Riddara works with in Thailand

The first question from those considering an electric pickup is usually about charging: where to charge, how long it takes and how to prepare your home. This article brings together information from the Thai-market specifications of the Riddara RD6 and ECON to help you plan with confidence.
AC charging at home: the main option for daily use
According to the specifications, all Riddara pickups support AC charging at up to 6.6 kW via a Type 2 connector. Charging from 20 to 100 percent takes approximately:
- 63 kWh battery: around 7.8 hours
- 73 kWh battery: around 9.3 hours
- 86 kWh battery: around 11 hours
In practice, most drivers don't charge from a nearly empty battery every day, so plugging in overnight is enough for the next day's use. For homes installing a charger, have an electrician check the meter size and main cable first; in some cases you may need to request a meter upgrade from the electricity authority. With a TOU meter, you'll also get cheaper overnight rates.
DC charging on the road
For long trips or vehicles running multiple jobs a day, DC fast charging via a CCS2 connector helps a lot. The RD6 accepts up to around 90 to 110 kW DC depending on battery size, while the ECON accepts up to 90 kW. Charging from 30 to 80 percent takes around 30 minutes — just right for a meal break or while waiting to load goods.
Charging partner network
At the Bangkok International Motor Show 2026, Riddara signed partnerships with ZEEDA ENERGY for home charger installation and iGreen+ for its public charging network of more than 300 stations nationwide, over 60 of them in Bangkok and its vicinity. Several sales campaigns have also included a free charger with installation for the RD6; please ask our sales team about the latest terms.
Battery care tips
- Use between 20 and 80 percent day to day, and charge fully when you need to travel long distances
- The LFP batteries in the 63 and 73 kWh versions tolerate frequent full charges better than other lithium battery types
- Avoid repeated consecutive fast charges on very hot days
- Park in the shade when possible to reduce the load on the cooling system
Riddara's high-voltage battery is covered by an 8-year or 200,000 km warranty, giving peace of mind for long-term use
